A New Deal for Ukraine

Sebastiaan is studying the double degree master programme European Governance at Masaryk University in Brno and Utrecht University. Since the age of 16, he has been striving for youth rights in numerous positions. From June 2013 to June 2015, he represented Dutch young people and the Dutch National Youth Council towards the European Union, the Council of Europe and the European Youth Forum. Since 2015, he is active as Financial Control Commissioner of the European Youth Forum and from January 2016, he is the policy officer for youth employment of AEGEE, the European Students Forum. His main expertise is fundamental rights, specifically of LGBTI-young people, young people in poverty and young people living in social care. In all his activities, the right to autonomy has a central point, as every person should have the power to develop themselves to become the best they can be. In Dutch directness, a focus on effectivity and a huge amount of enthousiasm, he strives for fundamental rights, and the rights of young people in particuliarly.
